Cornwall Council’s public consultation on the Penzance Neighbourhood Plan will begin this week!
What’s it all about?
As set out in legislation, Penzance Council submitted a draft Neighbourhood Plan for Penzance, following several public consultations and community representation on the Community Link Group, to Cornwall Council at the end of 2023 for a further public consultation and independent examination.
The Neighbourhood Plan includes policies on housing, local green spaces, characters, community facilities, transport, economy, parking and sustainability. If adopted, these policies will be used to determine planning applications locally along with the Cornwall Local Plan.
Public Consultation
When?
A public consultation on the submitted (Regulation 16) version of the Neighbourhood Plan will take place from Tuesday 26 March 2024 – midnight on Saturday 11 May 2024. All comments received from this consultation will be made available to an independent examiner, appointed to examine the plan.
How do I view the plan and have my say?
The plan is available to view on Cornwall Council’s Planning Register under Planning Ref: PA24/00003/NDP:
